Late edit: I've added the Google map and elevation profile for Saturdays run :-)

My legs pulled up really well after Saturday - much better than after my last 2 Nellies Glen runs - so either I bludged, or O to B was easier than it felt, or I'm getting fitter - hehe probably a combination of all three.

I could have run yesterday but my throat is a bit scratchy again so I decided not to push it.

I still felt tired when I got out of bed this morning and my throat is still a bit uncomfortable so I decided on something short and easy opting for a very flat 3k out and back along the foreshore.

All up 6k in 33.48 (av 5.38)

Did you drop half a bag of concrete somewhere along the O to B track?

That's my kind of 6k :)

Geez 2P, if it's not your calves it's your throat.

Take care of yourself and don't push it.

There is not one single CR that I know that does not train sensibly or follow the 10% rule strictly. So no reason really why you should be feeling under the weather. :)))))))))))))))))))))))))

The Google map makes it look a lot easier than the piccies I saw. You look at that and you'd think it was a dead flat beach run.

The elevation chart tells the real story. It sounded like an unreal run, though I'm sure would be exceedingly tough if the temperature was up. Liek the others have said, don't overdo things old man.

don't need no lifelines for that one.

Looks like your heart rate 2p. A few up and down hills on that run. At least the finish was lower rather than running back up the hill to Otford.

Mate - the profile confirms the work you must have been putting in to get yourself through that! Great effort at bouncing back so well after another punishing effort.

Hooley dooley. What a big run on Saturday. Take it easy with that throat.

Would have been some fantastic views along the coast there.

Nice solid run on the weekend. Your six foot habit is going to love it.

Always a dilemma with a sore throat - do I or don't I and what's around the corner? Good to see you eased off 2P.

Just read your Fatass experience - wow, that's no slouch of a run. Puts my Mt Taylor x 2 to shame really.

I've had a scratchy throat for the last couple of days but I'm pretending that its not there - from past experience its not the best strategy!

Yes 2p

excellent post about "fatass." That really makes me want to come back for the summer. So cold here now that my "camelback" is a 3 litre block of ice sitting in the garage.

As for the throat I reckon you should gargle with some salt water.
